Optimisation of waypoints

Navigator can optimise the order of waypoints and thus make the route shorter, save your time and fuel.

Last update: August 2022

Description

The optimisation of waypoints is another very useful free feature in MapFactor Navigator apps for Android and iOS.

Independently from the order in which you have entered the waypoints, Navigator optimises their sequence and thus makes the route shorter, save your time and fuel.

Of course, this feature is handy not only for professional drivers but also for private users planning e.g. a sightseeing tour. You can find it in Route info.

Have Navigator optimise the waypoints:

iOS: Go to Route info. Open the menu in the top right corner. Then choose Optimise.

Manage waypoints in Navigator:

You can easily manage the waypoints in the route info yourselfs as well. Tap on the waypoint to open the action menu to get the options:

  • show on map
  • delete
  • add to My Places
  • rename

In Navigator for Android you can also move the waypoint manually. Long hold the waypoint, move it to the new place and then release.
